I have been so freaking busy the past 2 weeks that I can barely breathe.
Work is piling up in the office. It’s not a bad thing, because I actually enjoy what I do, but it means I’m wiped out by day’s end.
Add that on to night school after work twice a week, gaming on the PlayStation2 and MSN-ing when home at night, waking 2 hours earlier to get down to the pool and swim thrice a week, pia-ing assignments on weekend days, having dinner with friends and colleagues on weeknights, and the occasional party/mahjong session/suppers on weekend nights and you get an idea of where the wind is blowing for me time-wise.
I look like a freaking panda now. It obviously doesn’t help that I’m nursing an eye infection simultaneously which makes it painful if I so much as blink, but taking comfort in small blessings, it’s not a bad infection and you can’t even see it unless you come right up to me and I pull my eyelid down to show you.
But you know what? Despite the hectic schedule, I am enjoying every single moment of it.
It’s almost as if I’ve found myself and renewed myself totally. I walk with a spring in my step now. I have a nice rosy radiant glow even sans makeup. I can totally strut in high heels now (thanks to Jessie’s training). I’ve got great friends and cool colleagues. I’m a lot more self-confident than I used to be (most people would actually call me buay hiao bai now; but c’mon you need to have a huge ego to keep up with people like Jessie, heh).
And most importantly, I am happy.

We are getting along so well with our colleagues that we have a whole host of activities lined up.
2 weeks ago, it was mahjong at my place with J, C and R (ok to be honest, they are the only colleagues that we hang out with. But that’s because we’re all the same age and we get along since we all are good at talking cock).
That was followed by a few suppers and shopping sessions. And then lots of shared conversations in MSN between the 5 of us.
Now we’ve lined up more mahjong, bowling, wakeboarding, and rollerblading sessions. I for one can’t wait for the wakeboarding; I love water sports!
