Sheena's Little Fragments of Time

When I conquer the world, I will do nothing but eat, sleep, and have sex with Jay Chou. Oh, and abolish education. Really.

Warning: A Very Narcissistic Post

For some reason, I simply love to take photos of myself nowadays. Call me narcissistic if you will, but I really don't care. In the past, I used to be absolutely camera-shy - I have license to be narcissistic now, can.

I think it's because I'm losing weight and looking (and feeling) better, hah.

Work has been keeping me absolutely busy, and today was a real killer of a day because I kept running into problems. But no matter what, I thoroughly enjoy my job and I love my colleagues, so I'm willing to do even sai kang simply because I like the job.

School has been occupying my nights, outings with friends and colleagues have been occupying my weekends, swimming is occupying my early mornings, and I arranged to begin jogging with Luke, so all in all, I'm feeling generally happy and fulfilled despite my ever-more-hectic schedule.

I like how my life is going. =D

On Thursday, Jess and I met up with my Best Guy Buddy In The World, Kevin, for dinner at Holland Village. Thursday has more or less become our "dine together if we can" day, so we're trying to meet up every week on that day if possible.

I was feeling particularly pleased with myself that day because I was really dressed up in a lovely dress and killer 3-inch heels. And on top of that, I got unsolicited compliments from my colleague R, which really put a spring in my step (despite the damn heels).

In the morning, I'd flounced into the pantry to find Jess and R there making their morning tea and chatting. Jess was dressed in a gorgeous top that day, so I gasped when I saw her.

Me: OMG Jess you are looking really really gorgeous today!

R (turning around to look at me): So do you, Sheena.

Jess: Oh R you are sooooo sweet!

Me: *utterly shocked into speechlessness by that unexpected compliment*

And later in the evening after work, R, Jess, and I were walking to the bus stop together.

Jess: You know Sheen, you really look good in that dress. Doesn't she, R?

R: Yeah. That is a really nice dress. It looks good on you.

Me: OMG R you just made my whole day, whole night and the rest of my week.

So obviously, when we met Kevin, I couldn't help but take some photos for posterity.

Then, there are pictures I took in fits of self-absorption while at Jessie's and Cindy's homes over the past 2 weeks.

Check out the flowy hair! Thanks to me sitting right in front of Jess's fan as I took this

Cin is officially our laziest friend. Her Mac is 20 cm away from her and she is using the freaking remote control. Go ahead and laugh your butts off at her - I did.

Then there was the night I went out with Zhenquan.

And on Friday night, Jess and I went out with our colleagues R, C and J.

I have pictures, but in order to protect the guys' privacy and to forestall the possibility of them (or their friends) stumbling across my blog (God forbid!), I leave it up to your imagination as to how they look. Basically, C is handsome in a cool, zhuai, arrogant way, J is boyishly good-looking, and R is very cute in an adorable way.

Yeah, Jess and I are fortunate in that we have eye candy in the office, and they are all perfectly nice gentlemen, and they spoil the hell out of us by carrying our stuff, buying us drinks, queueing up for us, and the like.

I could not ask for more.

Well... actually, I could. But I'll take things as they come.

And to you: You'll probably never read this, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for motivating me, driving me on, spurring me on, and giving me encouragement. Truthfully, without you, I could not have done it; I could not have made it this far.

Even though you don't know it.

But I am, and always will be, very grateful to you.

I hope that one day, I can finally tell you this.

(Ok my sleeping pill is starting to work and I am babbling. But what the heck, this is my blog. And no, that wasn't meant for the slug, in case any of you are worried; it's for someone else who is becoming more and more special to me day by day. =D)
